Dr Goldstein receives the Ian Donald Gold Medal Award from the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology

Steven R. Goldstein MD, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, New York University Grossman School of Medicine, receives the Ian Donald Gold Medal Award at the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG). This is the highest honor this society awards and is given  annually to an individual “who has changed the way ultrasound is practiced through research or innovation.” Over the 33 years since this society began only once before was this award given to someone like Dr Goldstein who only does ultrasound in Gynecology rather than Obstetrics.

2023 William J. Fry Memorial Lecture Award American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine

William J. Fry Memorial Lecture Award The William J. Fry Memorial Lecture Award was established by Joseph H. Holmes, MD, in 1969, and presented for the first time at the AIUM annual meeting in Winnipeg that year. William J. Fry, MS, was a physicist with a strong interest in ultrasound in biology and medicine, whose innovative research efforts advanced the field of diagnostic ultrasound. One of Professor Fry’s most notable contributions was the successful design of an ultrasonic system used to pinpoint lesions in the brain without damaging adjacent tissues.

Dr. Goldstein receives Prestigious Clarkson Award

Dr. Goldstein is the recipient of the North American Menopause Society’s 2016 Thomas B. Clarkson Award. The award is for life time achievement in menopause research and is mainly related to his work in transvaginal ultrasound and SERMs (the estrogen alternative). Dr. Steven R. Goldstein MD presented with Joseph H. Holmes Clinical Pioneer Award

Last week Dr. Goldstein received a great honor from the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. He was presented with their highest award, known as the Joseph H. Holmes Clinical Pioneer Award recognizing his career long contributions to research and patient care in gynecologic ultrasound. It really reflects his commitment to the field and to his patients.
