Our office has been open for quite some time, and we are taking great precautions to protect you as well as our staff. In fact, I am confident it is safer in our office than in a market or a pharmacy. Everyone on staff has been vaccinated and everyone (patients and staff) wear masks.
We occupy the entire 5th floor in a building that contains a handful of tenants. There is only one door in and out of our suite, and our waiting area is spacious enough given our wait times are short and we do not overbook. Patients can have gloves if they want them – although 20 seconds of hand washing and not touching your face is still your greatest protection.
Other specialties have utilized video “virtual” visits. Gynecology, as I practice it, cannot do that. Many patients are dealing with bleeding issues, menopause issues, vaginal imbalances (a.k.a. infection) urinary tract infections, pelvic and lower abdominal discomfort, history of cysts or masses that we need to continue to follow conservatively. Many of these situations call for a visit.
I urge you to come in if it is time for your regular visit or if you are experiencing any symptoms. We cannot delay when it comes to maintaining our good health. We look forward to seeing you!
